PAINT

Working with the ebb and flow of a painting reveals what is ‘known’, ‘observed’, ‘sensed’ and what is slightly out of reach altogether. Each painting, a reminder, that resolution is elusive and paint has it’s say. To observe, reflect and respond to the nature of paint, subject, and self is painting.

*Grants - during my teaching years I found it important to offer students art experiences as an extension of curriculum. Through visiting artist grants, an art partnership with a neighboring school district’s art program, and annual museum field trips to Philadelphia, New York City and Washington DC, students worked with artists and visited venues that extended the classroom studio setting.
